Intermediate Dance Workshop with Tau Macedo
Before the party begins, join an intermediate dance workshop with Tau Macedo.
Originally from Salvador, Brazil, Tau is a passionate teacher with deep roots into Forró roots. His teaching style helps students truly listen to the music and understand how the rhythms and melodies can be expressed through movement. Tau has developed a teaching approach that blurs the boundaries between where music ends and dance begins. He currently lives in Berlin, where he teaches locally and throughout Europe, and tours with the Diego Oliveira Band and other musicians.
The intermediate workshop will take place at the Amare Studio on Saturday, March 1st at 16:30, before the Forró Encantado party. You can purchase tickets for this workshop during the checkout process when buying your Forró Encantado event ticket.

Beginners' Crash Course with Bruna Azevedo
The evening begins with a Forró beginner crash course led by Bruna Azevedo. In this workshop, you’ll learn the basic steps, so you can dance all night long!
Bruna discovered her passion for Forró 8 years ago in Brazil and is one of the founders and instructors of Forró Den Haag. She ensures that her lessons are not only fun but also focused on the importance of a comfortable dance and a true connection—with your partner, the music, and the cultural aspects of Forró.
Vinyl DJ set by DJ Miss Brown
DJ Miss Brown (Trish Preston) spins the decks. A professional dancer and vinyl DJ for over 20 years, DJ Miss Brown blends her eclectic musical upbringing with her experience in the underground club scene of London from the late '80s and early '90s. Known for adding her funky shaker and tambourine skills to the mix, she brings vibrant energy to her sets. Since 2021, she has embraced Forró, combining her love for dance and DJing.
Live Music Concert by Cainã, Ítalo Caramuru and Tau Macedo
Following the dance workshops, enjoy a live performance by Ítalo Caramuru, a famous Forró singer and songwriter, as well as the co-founder of Forró in Karlsruhe. Since 2012, Caramuru has been touring Europe as a cultural ambassador for Brazil, sharing his vision through music and his album Revolution. He will be joined on stage by Cainã Araújo, an accordionist, singer, and composer who began playing the accordion at the age of nine. His breakthrough album Estrada do Meu Peito ('Road of My Heart') from 2018 led to performances on stages across Europe. Caramuru will be supported by Tau Macedo on zabumba, ensuring an unforgettable evening filled with the rhythms and energy of Brazilian music.
